Research new optical solutions for next-generation see-through optical waveguide displays
Design high-performance diffractive waveguides for a variety of customers using Dispelix proprietary simulation tool
Develop in collaboration with our software team advanced modeling tools
Work in close collaboration with our manufacturing teams for realistic designs
Provide design support for in-house and external prototyping and manufacturing efforts
Work with technicians and other engineers to integrate relevant theory for new waveguide designs, compile waveguide requirements, and coordinate design reviews
Requirements
A PhD degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline, or a MSc degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
An ability to independently solve complex problems
Solid knowledge of optics, including physical and geometrical optics, imaging, polarization control, coherence theory, and colorimetry
Good programming skills, for example in Matlab, Python or C/C++
Confidence in using numerical methods
Experience in diffractive optics design
Experience in optimization problems, their numerical solutions and algorithms
Knowledge of other relevant aspects of our activities, such as manufacturing methods or metrology
Knowledge of numerical analysis, matrix analysis, and/or some other relevant mathematical discipline
