Design and develop data interfaces to import/export data between internal systems and third-party services
Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, views, and queries
Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to define technical needs and project scope
Write comprehensive interface specifications, including data mapping, transformation logic, file formats, and transfer schedules
Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, resolving transformation and delivery issues effectively
Maintain clear documentation for integration logic and operational procedures
Ensure all solutions meet internal standards for security, reliability, and data quality

Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedure development and performance tuning
Hands-on experience developing system integrations involving structured data
Ability to create accurate, detailed technical specifications for data interfaces and file transfers
Knowledge of file-based formats (CSV, XML, JSON) and secure transfer methods (e.g. SFTP)
Understanding of relational databases and data transformation techniques
Experience working with personal and financial data in a secure and compliant manner
Background working with student information systems or platforms used in education or finance (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g. SQL Agent) or task automation (e.g. PowerShell) (Nice to Have)
Basic familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON)
although this is not the primary integration method (Nice to Have)
