Coordinate and perform cold and hot testing of equipment, commission the process, and install and verify the correct operation of the supervision/SCADA system.
Supervise inoculation and the biological and technical ramp-up of the site.
Deliver initial and ongoing training to local operators.
Contribute to the development and implement on-site operational tools for anaerobic digestion units required for monitoring.
Monitor site performance (energy production, biological monitoring, etc.), perform detailed data analysis, and proactively investigate causes in case of performance decline.
Communicate daily with site operators, diagnose encountered issues, and propose and implement technical, organizational, regulatory, or procurement solutions to improve performance.
Provide feedback on issues encountered on site to the operations manager, the maintenance team and the design team.
Participate in on-call phone duty.
Requirements
Knowledge of the biological, physical and chemical mechanisms of the anaerobic digestion process or similar wastewater or waste treatment processes.
Background in process engineering, biological/biochemical engineering, or industrial energy engineering.
Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment: anaerobic digestion facilities involve many electromechanical components such as pumps (lobe, centrifugal, progressing cavity), hoppers and screw conveyors, agitators, grinders and sensors (pressure, level, temperature, etc.).
Proficiency in operational IT and industrial control tools: general knowledge of PLCs and SCADA/supervision systems.
Valid category B driving licence.
Professional working proficiency in English.
