About this role
Role Overview
- Analyse proprietary datasets on hedge funds, private markets, and investor allocations to uncover trends and actionable insights
- Use SQL (Snowflake) to extract and work with structured financial data
- Collaborate with journalists and subject matter experts to develop data-driven story ideas and embed data into editorial content
- Contribute to the development of data visualisations in editorial output
- Build practical models to address data gaps and support market analysis and projections
- Incorporate public data sources (e.g. SEC filings) to enhance analysis where required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a data, research, or financial analytics role
- Strong SQL skills (Snowflake preferred)
- Experience working with structured financial or investment datasets
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with incomplete data
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly
It would be an advantage to have any of the following (but not essential):
- Experience working with editorial, research, or publishing teams
- Understanding of hedge fund or private markets strategies and performance metrics
- Familiarity with SEC filings (ADV, 13F, etc.)
