Serves as a communications specialist in the Office of Advancement and on the Donor Relations team.
Produces compelling communications that support donor engagement and demonstrate the impact of philanthropy as part of a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Conceptualizes and produces compelling gift impact reports for individual donors and affinity groups; conducts research, gathers content, collaborates with campus partners, and interviews faculty, staff, and students.
Writes personalized gift acknowledgement letters for senior administrators.
Collaborates with colleagues across Advancement to complete departmental writing needs, including appeals and digital content.
Partners with colleagues to develop and execute individualized donor stewardship plans.
Completes special projects as part of the Donor Relations team; assists with and attends in-person events as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
Two to three years of experience in development or a related field required.
Understanding of and commitment to the vital role of stewardship and donor relations as an institution-wide effort.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Able to write for print and digital formats on various topics, along with demonstrated research and editing skills.
Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and have prior familiarity with relational or CRM databases; prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge related to the strategic use of social networks is preferred.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel via air and public transport.
