Serve as project leader for existing and future projects
Independently design and execute assays for customers
Support projects utilizing animal models
Independently maintain and troubleshoot critical equipment
Compile, analyze, and document primary data, analyzed data, and final data reports
Train and guide junior staff on laboratory technique and safety
Serve as safety delegate for the Pathogens Unit
Manage and complete all assigned tasks/projects in accordance with standardized operating procedures
Confer with Pathogen Unit Director and leadership

A Bachelor’s degree in biology or other related scientific field
Minimum of two years of laboratory experience, preferably in virology, microbiology, and molecular biology, or a related field
Strong computer and communication skills
Detail-oriented and well organized
Ability to work in a team environment
