About this role
Role Overview
- You create stable technical foundations so product teams can release quickly and securely.
- You build and continuously evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
- You drive the automation of build, test, and release processes.
- You containerize applications with Docker and operate them on Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
- You establish standards ("Golden Paths") for deployments and releases.
- You keep security and the software supply chain in focus and collaborate closely with tech leads, development teams, and product management.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of GitLab CI
- Solid experience with Docker and containerization
- Practical experience in build and release automation
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, debugging, Helm)
- Understanding of automated testing in the CI/CD context (integration testing desirable)
- Very good German and English skills
- Experience with deployments on Debian or Ubuntu
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Python and/or Bash skills for scripting and tooling
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Operations mindset/understanding
