Counselor – Telehealth

Role Overview

• Ensure the completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation.
• Provide patients with orientation regarding program objectives, phase system requirements, rules and regulations, sanctions, hours of services, patient rights, and additional information to help patients adjust.
• Assure each patient is assessed and placed according to treatment phases.
• Keep all patient files organized and updated in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Counsel patients in crisis situations by identifying resources and coping abilities.
• Arrange referrals to other agencies and community resources as appropriate.
• Perform treatment plan reviews and participate in case conferences.

Requirements

• Possess a license that is in line with Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) qualifications.
• Maintain compliance with the requirements for continuing education hours and/or units (CEH or CEU).
• Preferred experience with dependency and/or medication-assisted treatment.
