Develop electrical system designs in accordance with project scope, client requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards
Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration services for power distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and other low voltage systems
Perform existing building surveys and document current electrical and fire alarm conditions
Prepare, edit, and coordinate electrical specifications and construction documents
Author engineering reports, assessment reports, and Basis of Design (BOD) documents
Coordinate closely with internal project teams, architects, and other engineering disciplines
Participate in and lead technical discussions, design coordination meetings, and client presentations
Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination as needed
Assist Project Managers with technical input, schedule coordination, and project execution
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience
Experience with healthcare, science and technology, education, and/or commercial buildings
Knowledge of and experience with HCAI / OSHPD standards is a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience preferred
Proficiency in electrical engineering calculations
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and design guidelines
High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
