About this role
Role Overview
Develop end-to-end sourcing strategies for complex silicon components (SoCs, sensors, memory) in next gen wearables, balancing technical needs, quality, cost, lead times, and supplier capabilities.
Act as commercial lead across HW, SW, FW, product, and design, aligning architecture and requirements with supply strategy to deliver feasible, compliant, cost-effective solutions.
Lead supplier engagement, RFQs, negotiations, and cost modeling; run regular business reviews on capacity, build readiness, delivery, quality, and cost.
Collaborate with EE engineering teams to influence and align supplier product roadmaps with the company’s long-term hardware strategy and product lineup.
Secure reliable component supply and locked-in commercial terms to support both production demand and engineering builds for NPI programs across the full EE component portfolio.
Apply deep understanding of pricing structures and cost drivers for EE components to lead cost analysis activities at the module and component level, and negotiate with suppliers to meet or beat target cost objectives.
Own forecast alignment and supplier capacity planning to safeguard supply continuity for development, pilot, and mass production needs.
Proactively monitor global silicon market dynamics, technology trends, and capacity/geopolitical risks, translating insights into category strategies and mitigation plans
Requirements
7+ years of work experience in EE or custom silicon strategic sourcing or procurement
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, Master’s Degree a plus
Experience working with Tier‑1 silicon suppliers and OSAT partners across Asia and North America
Background in high‑volume consumer electronics and CM/ODM/JDM manufacturing models is strongly preferred
Proven experience in negotiating commercials and a deep understanding of should cost
Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to thrive in ambiguity, can manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
Ability to travel 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
