Troubleshoot and perform repairs and modifications on mechanical, electrical, or programmable controls for complex automated and integrated industrial packaging equipment at customer sites
Assist in the installation, start-up, checkout, validation, and testing of existing, upgraded, and new equipment
Work independently and decisively to analyze and effectively resolve faults or malfunctions
Interact with personnel at customer sites to provide insight on the safety, proper operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through oral and written communication and reporting
Act as liaison between customers, as well as internal departments, to ensure progress and quality of service
Provide both remote and onsite technical support to end use customers
Requirements
A degree in Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the packaging industry
Proficient in PLC programming, settings, and parameters
Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic controls systems
Understanding of and ability to read floorplan layouts, electrical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, programming logic schema
Proficient in structured troubleshooting techniques
Excellent customer and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft office suite
Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
