Support the development and maintenance of national technical guidance, training, and practice tools
Research technical accounting and assurance matters using authoritative guidance and firm resources
Draft responses to assurance consultations for review by senior members of the National Assurance team
Assist in drafting and updating firm policies relating to assurance engagements
Requirements
A CPA designation and proficient knowledge of assurance standards in Canada
Minimum 3 years (post designation) of assurance experience in a public accounting firm
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Possess a basic understanding of other standards, policies and procedures that interact with assurance, including quality management standards, accounting, risk management, independence, tax, etc.
