About this role
Role Overview
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the Authority’s General Counsel, Board of Directors, and executive leadership
- Oversee the work of Associate General Counsels, paralegal, and administrative staff
- Research and analyze complex legal issues, delivering clear legal opinions
- Draft and negotiate contracts and legal instruments
- Manage or represent the Authority in civil litigation and claims matters
- Provide legal guidance on significant organizational initiatives and capital improvement projects
- Track legislative and regulatory developments
Requirements
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of law
- Graduation with a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Current membership in good standing in the State Bar of California
- Experience practicing municipal law or airport/aviation law preferred
