Tenant Legal Services Trial Supervisor

Role Overview

• Supervise a team of 2-3 attorneys and 1-2 paralegal/support staff
• Handle a reduced caseload of eviction defense and related cases
• Attend courthouse clinics and community events to provide limited representation, information, and advice
• Complete required documentation for both case tracking and personal management
• Supervise 3-5 staff with responsibilities for training, onboarding, case assignment, and professional development
• Hold weekly/biweekly check-ins with team members to discuss cases, workload, and professional development
• Assist with trial preparation and sit second chair on complex cases

Requirements

• Colorado bar admission and JD or the ability to waive into Colorado
• 3+ years' experience as an attorney, with the majority in courtroom litigation and ideally some in housing law
• Leadership experience
• Experience supervising people or the desire to utilize and further build leadership skills
• Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice
• Strong desire to center client and community needs
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Office suite, CLIO, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat desired
• Ability to travel within the Denver Metro area and surrounding suburbs under a hybrid schedule
