About this role
Role Overview
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of EHS programs across TPPL’s Missouri manufacturing facilities and distribution operations
Ensure regulatory compliance, drive standardization and continuous improvement
Support expansion initiatives, and advance a strong, sustainable safety culture
Lead and oversee EHS performance for all Missouri manufacturing and distribution operations
Drive standardized EHS policies, procedures, and work practices
Utilize EOS tools, KPIs, A3s, and Rapid Improvement Events to improve EHS performance
Analyze EHS data to identify trends, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable improvement
Oversee EHS-related CAPEX projects, budgets, and cost-reduction initiatives
Provide EHS leadership for facility expansions, equipment installations, and new systems
Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies; manage permitting, inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
Lead environmental compliance activities
Standardize and support wastewater treatment plant operations
Oversee digital EHS platforms and systems; ensure timely action and closeout
Lead ISO 14001 standardization and certification efforts
Oversee third-party risk assessments and corrective action implementation
Support workers’ compensation case management in partnership with HR
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Safety, or a related technical field
Ten (10) years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations
Proven experience with permits, regulatory reporting, and agency interaction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Master’s degree in a technical or EHS-related field
Experience in battery manufacturing or related technologies
Experience with new product introductions and large-scale capital projects
Required Minimum five (5) years of people leadership experience in EHS
Lean or continuous improvement experience
