Define and maintain data governance policies, standards, and ownership models (quality, security, privacy, retention)
Drive data quality, master data, metadata, and reference data practices across domains
Ensure alignment with GDPR and internal controls, supporting audits and regulatory requirements
Operate and evolve data governance tools such as data catalogs, lineage, and monitoring solutions
Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams
Promote data literacy and governance adoption through training, workshops, and clear guidance
Track compliance and data quality metrics and support remediation efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Business Informatics, or a related field
Hands-on experience in data governance and data management, including policies, stewardship, data quality, and metadata across multiple domains
Strong SQL skills with a solid foundation in data modeling and database architecture; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); Python and modern DevOps/data engineering practices are a plus
Practical experience with modern data platforms and lakehouse concepts (ideally Databricks), including defining data quality rules, lineage, access controls, and issue management, preferably with some level of automation
Good knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements, especially GDPR, data privacy, retention, and auditability, and the ability to translate them into concrete controls.
