General Legal Counsel

Role Overview

• Leading the management of M&A transactions, including legal due diligence processes.
• Supporting negotiations and reviews of SPAs and related discussions.
• Coordinating and managing external M&A law firms.
• Establishing a framework to standardize contracts and best practices.
• Developing and implementing group-wide risk management policies and compliance concepts.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm (M&A/Corporate) or as in-house counsel.
• Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) or an equivalent international law degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Solid M&A experience, preferably within a buy & build environment.
• Strong negotiation skills, gravitas and proven deal-making ability.
• Extensive international network of lawyers in relevant practice areas (particularly corporate law and M&A).
• Pragmatism, flexibility and a strong can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and to build and implement own structures.
