About this role

Research and structure new research topics in Machine Learning, Data Science, and cloud platforms
Design and implement prototypes and proofs of concept
Conduct evaluations to position ideas relative to current research and industry practices
Identify relevant public funding opportunities
Prepare and coordinate high-quality research proposals in German

PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
Proven research excellence (e.g., publications, strong methodological foundation)
Experience producing high-quality technical documents (e.g., funding proposals, project descriptions)
Strong engineering skills in ML and software systems, including Python and modern ML tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (proposal-ready)
