You operate and further develop modern virtualization environments
You provision virtual machines, optimize their performance, and proactively plan resources
You are responsible for lifecycle management of hosts, clusters, and hypervisors and perform root-cause analysis of incidents
You maintain SAN infrastructures based on Fibre Channel or iSCSI
You manage storage pools, LUNs, as well as zoning and multipathing concepts
You analyze throughput, IOPS and latency and derive optimization measures
You administer block, NAS and object storage solutions for various requirements
You perform performance analyses and capacity planning in the storage environment
You work with software-defined storage and HCI platforms such as Nutanix, VxRail or vSAN
You maintain clusters, perform updates and support expansions
You optimize replication, tiering and storage policy concepts for maximum efficiency
You handle incidents and problems at 2nd/3rd level and analyze complex failure patterns
You work closely with network, security and application teams
You document systems and changes thoroughly and support architecture and operations concepts

You have experience in at least one of the areas: server virtualization, SAN/storage or HCI
You have strong knowledge of at least one HCI platform such as Nutanix, VxRail or VMware vSAN
You are familiar with storage technologies in block, object and NAS
Ideally, you have experience with storage virtualization
Concepts such as high availability, redundancy and replication are familiar to you from practical experience
Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Bash or automation round off your profile
