About this role
Role Overview
Lead and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.
Architect and implement robust backend solutions capable of handling increasing user loads and evolving business requirements.
Maintain high coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure best practices for maintainability and readability.
Identify system bottlenecks and optimize code and algorithms to improve overall performance.
Implement monitoring and debugging tools to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high system availability.
Develop comprehensive test suites—including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests—to ensure backend reliability.
Provide guidance to junior developers to foster technical growth within the team.
Document code, APIs, and technical processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding.
Requirements
Candidates must be located in the EMEA or APAC regions.
Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js is required.
Proven experience working with the Stellar network in production environments.
Previous experience in the blockchain space with a technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem (or other blockchain environments). Familiarity with Stellar’s Soroban smart contracts is a significant plus.
Extensive professional experience in a similar role at a senior or lead level.
Solid understanding of document databases (MongoDB), caching mechanisms (Redis), and system architecture design.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a proactive manner.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is considered a plus.
Very strong written and verbal English skills for effective stakeholder communication.
