About this role
Role Overview
- Evaluate sites for proposed buildings and other structures
- Verify the safety and suitability of subsurface conditions for construction projects
- Conduct laboratory testing and prepare technical reports
- Review safety and quality standards and ensure compliance
- Inspect foundations and observe drilling operations
- Identify potential project risks and provide recommendations
- Perform geostructural analyses and design waterfront structures
- Interpret field test data and estimate soil properties
- Design structural components and prepare plans and specifications
- Provide office-based construction administration and perform site inspections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer licensure in Brazil (CREA)
- Experience with and proficiency in geotechnical software packages
- Strong knowledge of ACI, AISC, AASHTO, IBC, NDS, and other design codes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Experience with Civil3D is a plus
- Experience with structural analysis software is a plus
- All new hires will be required to pass a pre-employment background check
