About this role
Role Overview
- You will help power CareerSafe, serving more than 3 million users annually, while supporting cloud platforms that operate in regulated environments where reliability, security, and audit readiness matter.
- Leading DevOps and cloud engineering through technical direction, not hierarchy.
- Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation frameworks.
- Embed security and compliance into the way systems are built and deployed.
- Engineer and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS, GovCloud, and Azure.
- Partner closely with Application Development, Architecture, and Security to ensure platforms support fast, reliable, and secure delivery.
- Strengthen platform reliability and operational discipline, resolving complex issues.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience designing and operating cloud environments (AWS required, GovCloud/Azure preferred)
- Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Proven ability to build and operate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Strong Linux systems experience in cloud environments
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (NIST, FedRAMP, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues without relying on escalation
- Experience mentoring other engineers and improving team capability through hands-on guidance
- Comfortable working in a highly accountable environment where priorities and outcomes are explicit
