Own the architecture and development of control systems across cooling, power, plumbing and support utilities.
Design and integration of PA, FA, Rodent repellant, WLD, BMS, ASD, Security and access control, CCTV system etc.
Define control strategies, sequences of operation, alarm logic, failover logic and interlocks across mechanical and electrical systems.
Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA code and oversee software integration with building management systems, EPMS and monitoring platforms.
Produce control architecture diagrams, network layouts, data models and interface specifications.
Perform cross-functional design reviews to ensure control systems align with mechanical, electrical and systems architecture requirements.
Review and approve vendor controls submittals, functional specifications, hardware selections and software implementations.
Validate system performance during FAT, SAT and commissioning, including troubleshooting controls, sensors, networks and automation workflows.
Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure controls networks meet security and reliability requirements.
Mentor controls engineers and support training for engineering, operations and commissioning teams.
Support continuous improvement of the MEP modules by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization and predictive insights.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in IBMS solutions design, controls engineering, automation or industrial software development, ideally with mission-critical facilities or modular equipment.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent) and HMI/SCADA platforms.
Solid understanding of control theory, sequencing, PID loops, interlocks and safety logic.
Familiarity with building utilities and mechanical and electrical systems found in data centers (cooling systems, switchgear, power distribution, pumps, valves, sensors).
Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
Ability to read and produce P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams and network architecture documents.
Experience with commissioning, field testing and troubleshooting automation systems.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Experience leading smaller teams or mentoring engineers in a controls environment.
