Delivering high-quality fire engineering work across residential and Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs)
Combining technically robust fire strategy design with façade fire risk analysis and remediation advisory work
Taking ownership of complex instructions and providing practical advice aligned to UK regulations and best practice
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across fire engineering, surveying and project delivery
Supporting HRB-related projects including safety case and regulatory engagement where required
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting internal QA and technical development
Requirements
You must meet one of the following qualification routes:
Route A) MSc/MEng Fire Engineering (accredited) + 3+ years’ relevant experience + AIFireE
Route B) BEng/BSc in a relevant engineering discipline + MSc/MEng Fire Engineering (in progress/committed) + 5+ years’ relevant experience + AIFireE
Working knowledge of Building Regulations / Approved Document B, Scottish Technical Handbooks, BS 9991/9999 and PAS 9980.
HRB portfolio exposure and compliance-led delivery
Strong report writing and stakeholder communication
Ability to review complex design information and identify practical risk solutions
Experience working in consultancy environments with multiple concurrent instructions
