About this role
Role Overview
- Technically lead an engineering squad, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring delivery quality;
- Design, implement and evolve scalable backend solutions for digital products;
- Define architectural standards, development guidelines and engineering best practices;
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, security and maintainability;
- Support the team's technical growth through mentorship, feedback and dissemination of best practices;
- Collaborate with Product, Data and Design teams to define technical solutions aligned with business needs;
- Drive technical decisions considering trade-offs in scalability, performance, cost and security;
- Ensure system reliability through testing best practices, observability, monitoring and continuous deployment;
- Lead initiatives for architectural evolution and continuous platform improvement;
- Participate in technical project planning, estimations and delivery strategy definition;
- Support integration with external services, APIs and legacy systems when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in modern backend development with at least one primary language (e.g., Python, Go or Node.js);
- Experience with distributed systems, messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and service-oriented architectures (microservices);
- Proven experience in technical leadership of squads, active code reviewing and mentoring engineers;
- Knowledge of modern infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring/logs, continuous deployment;
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis);
- Ability to make technical decisions considering trade-offs in performance, scalability, cost and security;
- Experience leading projects with multiple integrations and technical dependencies (e.g., external APIs, billing, authentication, legacy systems);
- Preferable experience with high-availability products and mobile applications;
- Capacity to design sustainable architectural solutions and guide technical decisions together with Product.
