Senior Accountant/Finance Manager

Role Overview

• Responsible for the ongoing financial accounting of the companies in Germany and Austria
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Participation in group reporting and coordination with international finance teams
• Analysis of variances and forecasts, and further development of the reporting system
• Management and optimization of operational finance processes (accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow)
• Collaboration with tax advisors, management and other internal stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements

Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in finance, accounting or taxation
• Additional qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt) or equivalent is an advantage
• Several years of experience in financial accounting and preparation of financial statements under HGB
• Some experience in a group/corporate environment or in IFRS reporting
• Strong knowledge of financial software, ideally DATEV
• Structured, responsible working style and clear communication skills
