Execute accurate reporting, enabling yourself to analyze options and make financial recommendations.
Provide insight into business performance against competitor and industry trends.
Manage relationships with operations leaders, customers, and finance colleagues.
Complete in-depth analysis including; actual results vs. forecast/budget and historical results, monthly forecast vs. previous forecast/budget.
Identify financial risks and opportunities associated with budget/forecast.
Prepare weekly/monthly financial reporting package including key metrics for senior leadership.
Communicate financial results and monthly forecast changes to senior leadership.
Assists in the development of long-range plans to achieve objectives for growth and profitability.
Analyze and query large data sets to identify trends and key business indicators.
Conduct analytics; prepare queries, create metrics and validate assumptions to measure effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
May support areas such as: Product Development, Pricing, Account Management, and/or Sales Operations through ad-hoc analysis, as needed.
Requirements
3+ years of related experience, preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, required.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience in managed care or healthcare required.
Working knowledge of capitated/risk-based contracting, provider network structures, and healthcare financial models strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience querying large datasets using SQL (Snowflake preferred) and leveraging tools like Python or Tableau to automate analysis and deliver insights.
Experience with financial planning software.
Ability to work on problems of diverse scope; where analysis of data requires evaluation of a wide variety of factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Ability to develop relationships with operations leadership.
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Personal integrity with the ability to keep client and company confidences.
Comfort with the cyclicality of the role and the peaks and valleys of the workload, particularly around the quarter-end close.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
