Performs legal and secretarial tasks for assigned attorney(s), with supervision and oversight from their leader.
Maintains schedules and calendar for assigned attorney(s).
Composes a variety of correspondence, pleadings and various legal forms.
Coordinates time and location of multi-party appearances, including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, Independent Medical Exams (IME’s) meetings and site inspections.
Answers telephone calls, emails and handles client inquiries.
Receives and processes incoming mail.
Contacts clients, witnesses, court reporters, interpreters, claims personnel, and others to confirm scheduled appearances as instructed by assigned attorney(s).
Maintains a thorough knowledge and keeps up-to-date with court rules and legal deadlines.
Requirements
1-3 years experience in civil litigation as a legal administration clerk, secretary, or legal assistant required.
