Design and development of backend services and APIs within the ARD ecosystem
You design and implement scalable microservices based on Java using Spring Boot or Quarkus
Together with the team you design and decide on appropriate system architectures for data exchange, caching, and transformation
You work with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes and support their operation and further development
Development and maintenance of interfaces (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
You actively contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions
Identifying and implementing improvements related to performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing systems

Several years of professional experience (5+ years) as a Java or backend developer
Solid experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus in production environments
Confident handling of container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes are part of your daily toolkit
Experience with at least one hyperscaler, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with on-premises applications is a plus
Proficient in at least one common API paradigm such as REST (RESTful) or GraphQL
Knowledge of an additional programming language such as Go, TypeScript, Rust, or Python is a plus
Familiarity with caching mechanisms and cache invalidation
The following are standard for you: test development, mocking frameworks, build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle)
Experience with queues, message brokers, or stream processing
Team player – you enjoy sharing knowledge, giving constructive feedback, and value close collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
Your German language level should be at least C1
Education: Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification — or equivalent professional experience
