Lead Design Engineer

Role Overview

• Design and document Nacelle and components and assemblies, including thrust reversers, inlets, fan cowls, and EBU systems.
• Coordinate with other functions to meet business standards, practices, and procedures as well as product/program requirements.
• Execute product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity.
• Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on events occurring in fleet of fielded hardware.
• Initiate and execute engineering changes to support cost out, weight out, and producibility projects.
• Effectively communicate with the engineering program manager to: Prepare for technical and program reviews within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering with 10+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical and structural design or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficiency in CAD modelling (E.g. Solidworks, NX, CATIA, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with mechanical testing
• Familiarization with composite part design
• Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.
