Manager – SAP Data Services, Integration

Role Overview

• Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives across SAP BODS, BDC, Datasphere, and SAC, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data flows
• Own the architecture, development, and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines using SAP BODS and SAP Datasphere
• Lead data migration, data quality, and data governance activities across SAP and nonSAP Systems
• Establish and govern reusable data products, semantic models, and transformation frameworks that standardize how business domains consume and share data across the enterprise
• Manage the design and delivery of SAC dashboards, planning models, and analytics solutions aligned with business KPIs
• Oversee platform configuration, environment setup, and operational readiness for SAP BODS, Datasphere, BDC, and SAC, ensuring each system is fully functional, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Manage connectivity and integration settings across SAP landscapes — including RFCs, OData services, JDBC/ODBC connections, agent configurations, and secure network tunnels — ensuring seamless data flow between S/4HANA, Success Factors, and external systems
• Collaborate closely with the BASIS team to manage system landscapes, transport paths, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning for all data and analytics platforms
• Ensure proper provisioning, role-based access, and security configurations across BODS repositories, Datasphere spaces, SAC tenants, and BDC execution environments
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for platform-level issues, including agent failures, connection drops, job execution errors, and performance bottlenecks across data pipelines and analytics layers
• Ensure all platform integrations follow clean‑core principles, secure connectivity standards, and enterprise data governance policies
• Manage the development of reusable CDS artifacts, including analytical, transactional, and hierarchy views—to standardize data access and ensure consistent KPIs across business domains
• Drive alignment between CDSbased virtual data models and enterprise data products, ensuring cleancore compliance and reducing the need for custom ABAP or heavy ETL logic
• Lead the design and deployment of adaptive, AI-powered intelligent applications built on SAP Business Data Cloud, ensuring solutions continuously learn from enterprise data, understand business context, and autonomously improve decisionmaking
• Drive the integration of next-generation intelligent capabilities—such as automated insights, contextual recommendations, and workflow orchestration—across SAP S/4HANA and Successfactors to transform business outcomes

Requirements

• Fluent in spoken, written English
• Knowledge of Arabic would be preferred
• A University Degree from an internationally recognized institution preferably in the fields of Business, Engineering, Computer science, Information systems or similar degree
• Minimum 12 years of experience in SAP data engineering, analytics, or integration roles
• Proven leadership in SAP BODS, SAP Datasphere, SAP BDC, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Strong background in ETL/ELT architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data integration
• Experience with cloud migrations (preferably AWS) and working with hyperscalerbased SAP deployments
• Handson experience with S/4HANA data structures, CDS views, VDMs, and SAP clean core principles
• Demonstrated success leading data migration, data quality, and governance initiatives across SAP and non‑SAP systems
• Advanced proficiency in SAP BODS, Datasphere, and SAC, including performance tuning, semantic modeling, and KPI‑aligned analytics
• Expertise in data governance, lineage, metadata management, and enterprise data product design
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams and deliver complex data programs end‑to‑end
• Strong experience managing platform operations: transports, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and operational readiness
• Proven capability to lead root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting across data pipelines and analytics platforms
• Ability to manage vendors, offshore teams, and multiple development tracks simultaneously
• General understanding of various SAP deployment options, i.e. Rise with SAP, HEC, GCP
