Serve as the “face” of Avantis Investors to the external marketplace of Southern Florida
Understand Avantis Investors’ highly differentiated investment process and philosophy as well as American Century’s distinctive story
Grow assets under management, most specifically with fee-based RIA’s
Collaborate with internal partners to identify and pursue sales opportunities
Contribute to the development and refinement of a strategic distribution strategy
Cultivate relationships and build active pipeline with fee-based advisors nationally
Influence the creation of a consultative, solutions-based sales approach
Partner closely with product development, marketing, and investments to ensure competitive positioning across key client and product opportunities
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years’ experience selling to sophisticated, fee-based RIA’s
Direct experience and relationships with RIA’s
Ability to have sophisticated conversations with clients pertaining to portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management
Broad-based understanding of general portfolio behavior and capital markets
Ability to represent Avantis Investors’ differentiated investment philosophy and process in a highly consultative and compelling manner
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity and hands-on responsibilities
Embraces a collaborative, team-based sales culture with a proactive mindset, taking initiative, making principled decisions, and driving results through partnership and accountability
Bachelor’s degree; FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or equivalent as required by state, or ability to attain licenses in a short-term frame
Travel to client and industry events is required
