Act as a key risk analyst and advisor to all teams under Enterprise Platform Services in RBC Tech Infrastructure with respect to Network & Collaboration Services, Shared Platform Services, Core Platform Services and Data Centre Platform Services technologies, operational and organizational risk.
Drive qualitative and quantitative risk assessment reviews using IT Risk Management methodologies and tools.
Provide expert advisory on RBC’s IT Risk framework, policies, standards, and guidelines to a complex level and contribute to their development where appropriate.
Participate and contribute to risk metrics and risk appetite being developed by RBC Enterprise and ensure alignment with risk reporting requirements.
Demonstrate advanced level of risk management knowledge to facilitate and support Functions in identification and assessment of risks and controls within functions.
Create and manage risk assessment and control evaluation coverage plans and metrics.
Perform, review, and sign-off on control evaluation work papers and results.
Facilitate and advise on the Risk & Control Self -Assessment (RCSA) program.
Provide subject matter expertise and oversight to distributed implementation of assigned ORM Practices, i.e., Issues Management and others as assigned within business and functional units, geographies and legal entities within RBC.
Use data driven analytics and business intelligence to correlate risk across risk stripes and identify key areas of risk and leading risk indicators.
Create and present risk reports for senior management and committees in Enterprise Platform Services, improving content driven by emerging risk and relevant RBC content.
Requirements
7+ years of experience managing risk and compliance within Technology Infrastructure, with specific expertise in risk assessment, monitoring and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in IT Infrastructure-related field (i.e. Computer Engineering, Computer Science)
Strong prior experience as a Risk Analyst/Project/Program Manager within IT Infrastructure.
Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment while partnering with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
Excellent communication and analytical skills and experience managing and prioritizing multiple risk remediation projects simultaneously.
