Role Overview
- Design and implement scalable backend architectures
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Develop and integrate third-party APIs and services
- Implement authentication and authorization systems
- Build data processing pipelines and background jobs
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Ensure security best practices and compliance
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards
- Write comprehensive technical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field OR equivalent work experience with a strong technical portfolio
- 7+ years of backend development experience
- Experience with testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Experience with performance testing and optimization
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js (primary stack)
- Familiarity with AI development tools
- Experience with web frameworks: Express.js, React (for full-stack capabilities)
- Expertise in MongoDB, Redis for caching
- Cloud platforms knowledge: AWS, GCP
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)
- Version control experience: Git, GitHub/GitLab
- Knowledge of distributed systems concepts
- Familiarity with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka)
- Strong understanding of load balancing and scaling strategies
- Design and implementation of RESTful APIs
- Knowledge in API security and authentication (JWT, OAuth)
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman)
