Senior Manager, Ventures Portfolio Management – Strategy

Role Overview

• Own the end-to-end monitoring of portfolio company performance, tracking key operational and financial metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and inflection points.
• Track and support product advancement across portfolio companies, ensuring each company is on a trajectory that maximises its long-term potential.
• Serve as an active, trusted partner to founders -
• helping them navigate challenges, remove obstacles, and accelerate growth through hands-on engagement.
• Contribute to shaping Prosus Ventures' future investment strategy, anchoring thesis development in emerging technological trends, market signals, and learnings from the existing portfolio.
• Produce and deliver monthly portfolio reports covering portfolio company results, key milestones, and strategic achievements.
• Develop a deep understanding of Prosus controlled companies -
• their priorities, challenges, and strategic needs -
• and proactively identify where portfolio companies can deliver real value.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Associates, setting a clear direction and fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• An early-stage founder or product leadership background -
• you have an entrepreneurial mindset and have built a product or have been instrumental in scaling one.
• Deep empathy for founders and a first-hand understanding of the challenges of building technology-driven businesses.
• Experience in venture capital, portfolio management, or a strategic investment within the technology sector.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with at least 2+ years of direct people management experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess portfolio performance, identify trends, and translate data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills -
• you can distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• A genuine interest in technology trends and the ability to translate technological advancement into investment and strategic implications.
