Data Scientist III

Role Overview

• Execute the full data science solution development cycle: deep business understanding, requirements gathering, feature preparation, model building, presentations, pipeline monitoring and performance validation;
• Develop Data Science solutions that include supervised and unsupervised models, predictive and prescriptive models, and exploratory analyses;
• Design, implement and conduct experiments related to models in collaboration with business areas;
• Monitor and identify opportunities to improve existing models and processes to optimize results;
• Partner with software development teams for model consumption and deployment to digital channels;
• Maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions;
• Interact with professionals of different profiles and levels of seniority in a constantly changing environment.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of SQL for manipulating and querying large volumes of data;
• Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language, preferably Python;
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git) and cloud environments;
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics, statistical inference and probability;
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning models (feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, interpretation and evaluation of metrics);
• Strong analytical and creative thinking to develop solutions that meet different types of needs;
• Ease working in flat, multidisciplinary teams;
• Experience in environments that use agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with both technical and business profiles in a corporate environment;
• Curious and eager to learn, with strong interest in adapting to new technologies and business scenarios;
• Differentials:
• Experience with prescriptive data models;
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Google Analytics and Vertex AI;
• Knowledge of experimentation (design and evaluation of experiments, A/B testing, multivariate tests);
• Experience with architectures and workflows for developing machine learning solutions;
• Building CI/CD pipelines and data/ML pipelines with market tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI);
• Experience with interfaces and model distribution via API;
• Knowledge of Generative AI solutions;
• Publications or contributions to conferences or scientific journals will be considered advantageous.
