About this role
Role Overview
Perform digital pipeline tools development for 3D content creation including theme-park visualizations, animated animatronic animations, ride vehicles, simulated projectors, and other dynamic show elements
Troubleshoot and support previously built software products and/or proof-of-concepts
Engage with designers and artists to better support them and gather new requirements
Requirements
Programming proficiency in both higher-level scripting languages such as Python and lower-level compiled languages such as C/C++
Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
Ability to learn new APIs and SDKs quickly
Autodesk Maya and/or MotionBuilder scripting and API (C++/Python/ OpenMaya API) development experience
3D math skills and computer graphics programming experience (OpenGL/DirectX)
Understanding of digital art pipeline for VFX and/or video games
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL or Glendale, CA area
Must have reliable transportation to/from work
