Develop strategic alliances with agencies, and Independent Consultants.
Leverage preferred relationships of Apple Leisure Group to gain commitment, incremental revenue growth with travel agencies.
Guide the team, and lead by example in Utilizing a consultative sales approach to match the needs of the agency with the product offering of Apple Leisure Group.
Work alongside the BDM team, and use your own leadership intervention, to Gain revenue commitments with travel agencies for the appropriate brand(s).
Create and Execute an implementation plan with agencies to realize committed revenue.
Maintain engagement plans for all opportunity accounts.
Create strategic ways to grow engagement and build trust in an effort to shift business to ALG Vacations.
Increase and promote distribution through VAX advisor travel booking platform in line with established goals.
Represent Apple Leisure Group at events where needed (and occasionally outside territory) to cultivate new business opportunities and gain new revenue commitments.
Achieve sales targets by managing region effectively, growing the BDM talent base, and working alongside the team to grow the accounts with identified opportunities.
Ensure the team is creating brand loyalty through the use of key tools such as joint marketing plans, agency education, provide marketing tools to agents, product differentiation, and value proposition of booking brand.
Ensure all activity is documented in reporting tool.
Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and in meetings.
Attend Weekly team calls with Vice President
Sales designed to make a strategic impact on growth and development of the team and accounts.
Work alongside Vice President
Sales to ensure key messages are being communicated and shared with the accounts.
Conduct roadmap calls with each team member weekly to focus on personal strategic development for future growth.
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values. In addition to the BDM team, ensure NGD direct reports are focused on lower producing accounts in an effort to help create the next wave of revenue for the region.
Ensure a strategic plan is in place on how the NGD will work with the BDMs in the region, find and identify lower producing accounts, and create brand ambassadors over time.
Work with all team members to create efficiency, effective time management, meets deadlines, and find a work life balance.
Create strategy from data and work to ensure each team member is understanding the complexities of their territory via the data provided.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with degrees in business, marketing, communications or finance preferred.
Eight or more years of related experience in sales or the travel industry.
Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background.
MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, SalesForce.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally by plane and car – 70%.
Data Analytics – must be able to understand reports and be able to interpret data to provide effective solutions.
Must have the ability to telecommute and be comfortable working independently.
Sales and customer service skills – necessary to be able to provide the best experience for advisors.
