About this role

Development and maintenance of L1 and L2 payload processing applications for multi
and hyperspectral missions, e.g. Sentinel-2 or PRISMA
Optimization and refactoring of developed code to fulfill architectural and performance requirements
Support the transfer and deployment of the processors to the operational environment
Provide scientific support and take an active role in the formulation of requirements for future products and services

University degree (Master of Science) in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline
A PhD in a relevant discipline would be advantageous
Very good understanding of scientific software development, remote sensing and algorithms
Very good knowledge of Python, optimally including Jupyter notebooks
Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting
Working experience with remote sensing data
Organised and methodical working attitude with strengths in analysis, synthesis and presentation
Proficiency in English.
