Commercial Generator Technician, Electrical Controls, Mechanical, Microgrid, Field Engineer

Role Overview

• Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects

Requirements

• three years of field experience servicing generator systems with some experience on 500kw+
• proficiency with preventative maintenance, retrofitting basic controls, minor ATS repairs and loadbanking equipment
• High School diploma or GED equivalent, related military experience or equivalent field experience
• ability to perform triennial maintenance, engine diagnostics, fuel system priming and replacing failed engine components
• operational and functional understanding of Automatic Transfer Systems
• ability to troubleshoot and repair with minimal direction
• ability to read and decipher electronic schematics
• experience with or ability to quickly learn advanced generator and electric system controls including Woodward, Beckwith, and PLC equipment
