Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with planning and performing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
Civil/Environmental engineering design including land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design
Assist with developing permit/construction-level drawings and details, preparing technical specifications, and construction cost evaluation/estimating
Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
Perform fieldwork with a focus on health and safety and which may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, geotechnical investigations, and construction oversight.
Writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science)
EIT Certification (preferred)
Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science) (preferred)
Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (preferred)
Experience with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS (preferred)
