Ensure all assigned services are provided as determined by the IEP team by: Communicating with parents and teachers to develop a schedule that encourages regular attendance and participation by the student
Developing progress reports and other state-specific required special education documentation
Maintain compliance with state, school, and company regulations
Provides students with individual treatment and group therapy sessions to correct specific areas of sensory-motor integrative dysfunction
Administers online occupational therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of functioning relative to their age and educational placement in such areas as fine/gross motor skill development, sensory motor integration, self-care, and the activities of daily living.
Maintaining progress records; participates in the IEP meeting.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in public school environment as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Occupational Therapist licensure in at least one state
Ability to work independently, with availability during typical school hours of at least 20 hours per week is required
Experience teaching in an online/virtual environment
Strong familiarity with assistive technology
An ability to support and guide adults as well as students
Ability to clear required background check.
