Architecture, development and management of the data platform to support efficient data ingestion, transformation, quality checks, monitoring and accessibility.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture data requirements.
Contribute to shaping and implementing the technical vision and roadmap for the data platform.
Technologies you will work with include: Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataform, etc.), SQLMesh, Cursor, Terraform / Terramate, GitHub Actions, Python and SQL, Looker.
Requirements
Proven experience (3+ years) in a data engineering role, preferably at a technology-driven company or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of large-scale data concepts, including data ingestion, transformation and modeling.
Strong understanding of software development best practices and their application to data pipelines.
Experience in data management, specifically implementing and managing data catalogs, IAM, ensuring metadata management and enabling efficient data discovery.
Experience with Python, SQL and HCL (Terraform).
Extensive experience with a public cloud provider, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a solid understanding of its data services.
Experience with BI tools and their integration into a modern data stack.
Strong customer-oriented mindset with a deep appreciation for product thinking to help software development teams build data-driven solutions.
Very good command of English, both written and spoken; German is a plus.
