Design, maintain, and continuously improve our data models and structure.
Ensure data quality, reliability and availability by implementing best practices, including observability, alerting, and testing (for example, dbt tests).
Formalize and document the most important business and financial KPIs in collaboration with leadership and our Finance and Growth teams.
Build alignment on definitions so metrics are consistent across the company.
Create and maintain clear, high-impact executive dashboards that support strategic decisions.
Produce reporting that is complete, accurate, flexible, and structured for different audiences.
Promote data best practices within the data team and across the company.
Drive impact through team collaboration, without relying on hierarchical management.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in building and maintaining central data models used cross functionally.
Very high autonomy and a strong sense of ownership.
Expert-level SQL, with the ability to design robust and scalable models.
Extensive BI/dash-boarding experience.
Strong ability to “tell the story” with data: framing, pedagogy, and business context.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Ability to adapt communication style and level of detail to different audiences (Finance, Product, senior leadership, and investors).
You are adaptable in a fast-paced environment and do well with versatility.
Bonus points if you: Have experience scaling data at an early stage start-up.
Experience with Python, Java, Go or other relevant languages.
Have experience modelling complex business KPIs such as revenue, retention, LTV, etc.
Have a strong product mindset and care about business impact.
