About this role
Role Overview
People Management: Be responsible for developing and managing the team’s careers, from recruiting new hires to creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and giving feedback;
Strategic Planning: Act as owner and co-owner of the planning process, contribute to product planning discussions, and bring enabling items and continuous improvement opportunities to the planning process;
Engineering: Foster a strong Software Engineering culture by keeping our stacks and best practices up to date to increase quality and team efficiency, strengthening knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and a culture of feedback and transparency among peers, leaders and the team;
Technical Support: Contribute to and support technical decisions across disciplines such as Architecture, Documentation, Technical Debt, Quality, Security, SRE, DevOps and Data Engineering;
Flow Management: Lead and be primarily responsible for the evolution of software development processes, including Flow Management (Kanban), dependency management, risk management, and crisis and incident management;
Support the team in Backlog and Workflow Roadmap management, participating in rituals and using Kanban practices, encouraging autonomy and empowerment, and applying metrics and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in directly managing software developers;
Experience developing platforms and distributed systems;
Knowledge and hands-on experience with technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, React, RESTful APIs, Micro-Frontends, Design Systems and NoSQL databases;
Experience with microservices
and event-based architectures. Experience with cloud and DevOps, including infrastructure as code;
Experience with the development lifecycle and evolution of digital products;
Experience working in agile teams and using Kanban and Lean practices;
Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions.
