You develop and maintain Java-based backend components for the “Swing” product.
You work on integrations and interfaces within a mature software ecosystem.
You analyze existing structures and drive refactoring and modernization initiatives.
You design robust, scalable solutions with a focus on performance and stability.
You collaborate closely with Product Management, Support and adjacent teams.
You use modern development tools — including AI-assisted tools — and evaluate their results critically and responsibly.
You ensure high code quality through testing, reviews and clear standards.
You contribute ideas to further develop architecture and engineering practices.

Several years of experience in Java backend development (e.g., with Spring or comparable frameworks)
Experience working with mature or legacy system landscapes
Knowledge of Kotlin is an advantage, especially in the context of existing or hybrid codebases
Solid experience with SQL databases and a good understanding of data modeling and performance considerations
Practical experience with container technologies (Docker) and ideally Kubernetes
Initial or advanced experience with cloud environments such as AWS is desirable
Confident handling of API design and integration scenarios within complex system landscapes
High standards for code quality, testing, security and documentation
Reflective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English skills (at least B2) are mandatory
