Performing installation and commissioning of power quality and energy meters at customer sites, ensuring that it functions correctly and meets the operational standards specified.
Performing routine maintenance and diagnosing problems with equipment.
Assist in repairing or replacing faulty parts and ensuring that the equipment is operational again in a timely manner.
Providing remote & on-site technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and resolving them directly or advising them on the necessary steps to fix them.
Training customers in the use of EIG equipment safely and effectively, often providing hands-on training and detailed operational manuals.
Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (required)
Minimum three years of relevant experience (required)
Good understanding of industry standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP and BACnet.
Knowledge of software, integration and automation, industrial controls, PLCs, and industry SCADA practices is an asset.
Strong understanding of the power systems, metering applications industry practices and electrical equipment being serviced.
Excellent analytical skills to diagnose issues and determine the best way to fix them.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, explaining complex technical issues in a way that non-experts can understand.
