Primarily work from the engineering office on geological characterization missions of railway ballast and interpret results in accordance with standard NF X 46-102.
Perform macroscopic characterization of natural rocks and determine their lithology.
Identify rock types and assess the asbestos-related risk associated with each lithology.
Prepare geological reports and incorporate petrographic analysis results carried out in the laboratory.
Define Zones Presenting Similarities of Work (ZPSO).
Contribute to project organization and tracking, in compliance with WSP’s Quality, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Requirements
Master’s degree (Bac+5) (Engineering degree or Master) in geology or equivalent training.
Strong skills in geology and rock identification.
Experience in contaminated sites and soils or in a similar technical environment appreciated.
Good level of autonomy, team spirit and strong adaptability.
Rigor, ability to synthesize and strong written communication skills.
Comfortable handling the administrative aspects of project management.
