About this role
Role Overview
Provide expertise in safety and health to help prevent and reduce employee injuries and illnesses
Support clients and their field management in developing and maintaining effective safety programs across assigned branches and job sites
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, DOT, MSHA, EPA) and company policies
Mitigate risk, reduce losses, and lower overall insurance costs
Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and work practices
Conduct safety program needs assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend preventive and corrective actions
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Implement and evaluate hazard control programs; measure, audit, and assess effectiveness
Facilitate and document required safety training for employees, supervisors, and temporary workers
Conduct safety meetings and training programs for client employees
Assist with branch, facility, field, and job-site safety inspections and observations
Perform job hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards
Coach and guide Acrisure and client employees and management on safety compliance and safe work practices
Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA 1910/1926, DOT, MSHA, EPA, ADA)
Participate in client safety initiatives, meetings, and programs, including providing customized training as needed
Collaborate with job-site safety personnel to identify and resolve safety issues
Investigate and document incidents involving employees, temporary workers, or company property
Coordinate with Acrisure Claims Advocates and medical providers to support injury management and return-to-work programs
Support OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety incentive programs
Travel and stay overnight as required (up to 50%)
Be available on-call as needed, unless approved time off has been scheduled
Requirements
In-depth safety and loss control knowledge with hands-on field experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to clearly communicate safety concepts verbally and in writing
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend practical solutions
Ability to prepare clear, formal incident and investigation reports
Experience reviewing and staying current on OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
Comfortable working independently, managing changing priorities, and maintaining strong client relationships
OSHA 500 & 501 Authorized Outreach Trainer (required)
5+ years of related experience in Safety and Loss Control
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferred
