Role Overview
Independently lead tool development designed for modeling and analysis studies of sensors, sensing systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
Collaborate with other team-members to perform tool development and support systems engineering studies to assess tradeoffs to balance system performance and optimizations.
Design modeling/simulation and analysis strategies that leverage framework of modeling, simulation and analysis tools.
Develop novel performance metrics and analyze the performance of sensors such as electro-optical (EO), radar and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
Develop and implement algorithms for applications including tracking, data-fusion and novel approaches to improve performance for radar, lidar, and/or related sensors and sensor architectures.
Lead projects to improve existing modeling and simulation tools on an ongoing basis.
Develop novel simulation approaches, computer tools and simulations to support analyses of interdisciplinary support teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related discipline.
A minimum of 6 years of applicable professional experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex modeling and analysis tasks.
Demonstrated strength and experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of space systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.
U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Willingness to occasionally travel and/or work off-business hours to support customer needs, approximately 5
10 % (as required).
For the Senior Engineering Specialist: A minimum of 10 years of applicable professional experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex modeling and analysis tasks.
